Creative literacy workshops for primary-age children

Creative Literacy Workshops

Some children come alive when language feels imaginative — when stories unfold through characters, dialogue, colour and curiosity. These workshops create space for language to be explored creatively and confidently, where learning feels engaging, expressive and joyful.

When children explore language through storytelling, discussion, drawing and shared ideas, they build confidence in reading, writing and self-expression. These experiences shape not only skill, but a lasting, positive relationship with language.

Why creative literacy matters

My approach blends creative, inquiry-led learning with a strong understanding of the Lehrplan 21/UK curriculum expectations for language development. Sessions are designed to support literacy while keeping curiosity, collaboration and imagination at the centre.

The approach behind these workshops

These workshops are offered to a small number of groups, shaped around interest and context. They are designed to:

  • complement school-based literacy learning

  • explore language through storytelling, dialogue and creative thinking

  • strengthen reading and writing in natural, engaging ways

  • build confidence and communication in a small-group setting

  • offer families a gentle window into my educational philosophy in action

*Workshops run based on interest and availability.

Each workshop is intended to feel joyful, enriching and memorable — a space where language feels alive and entirely their own.

What to expect

These workshops are well suited to primary-age children who respond well to imaginative, discussion-rich learning — and for families who value learning that feels engaging, thoughtful and developmentally grounded.
